 INTREPID: Battle of the Big Bands 2019

Compete for lindy hop glory in one of TWO dance competitions at the Intrepid Battle of the Bands. This year, we feature two epic swing competitions — couples lindy hop and solo jazz.

Winners take home cash and trophies; plus tickets to Midsummer Night Swing, Swing Remix, Prohibition Productions, and to The Intrepid Museum. Winner of the solo jazz contest gets a special guest performance at Midsummer Night Swing on July 3, 2019!

Couples Contest (Strictly): 
Two rounds… pre-lims and finals
• Round 1 / pre-lims: on hanger deck starting at 9:40pm & music by DJ Andrius
• Finals: on Flight Deck to live music by Jonathan Stout Orchestra (c. 11:20pm)
Fee: $10/couple

Solo Jazz Contest:
Epic tap out battle!
Contest to live music by Cait & the Critters
Fee: $5/dancer
